Fire force First impression

Fire force/Enen no Shouboutai

Genre: Action, supernatural, Shounen
Premiered: Summer 2019; 9th july

This anime set its foot on the world where at any second a human can turn into human combustion without any warning or syndromes to beware of. In more paraphrased words, the place where humans have started exploding.. any time, any place most above all in a very slight notice. To take care of the victim, here comes the team of Fire force company! Our protagonist Shinra is a neophyte to this occupation however he isn't new to the phenomenon as his past was dreadful because these happenings were the reason how his mother and his brother died and why he was named "Devil" after the misfortune. Nevertheless with utter determination to be regarded as a hero one day he decides to Fire force team.

What are these Exploding humans?

Well, the answer to this question is yet not revealed in the story, at least not in episode 1. However what all the general public knew, with the passage of time those exploding humans, also known as "Infernals", like every other substance in the world they too begin to mature and are now classified in various variants. Generation 1, 2 and 3. When Generation 1 causes spontaneous human combustion, later generations succeed with the ability to manipulate flames while retaining to human form. 3rd being at the top has the ability to ignite the fire from some certain part of their body. Shinra is a 3rd generation, he is having the ability to ignite his feet at will even though how much cooler this power sound, this alone prowess is the reason for him being infamous as "devil".

Fire force

FIRST IMPRESSION

The anime does seem promising to be a long running shounen action anime. Starting off with the optimistic face of Shinra after witnessing his Fire force company teammates in action, which by watching them fight motivates him furthermore to be just like them. Future of anime most of the time depends upon how the main character is, which in the case of Fire force is pretty average. Shinra seems like a normal kid in the context of morality and attitude however he is an exception for being a 3rd generation pyrokinetic (Infernal), furthermore, his family died because of his own powers, this factor in future may open up many interesting ventures for him, it'll be enjoyable to watch how he counter such. There aren't too many things to discuss after watching just one episode, but anime as a whole does NOT seem really too promising to me.

Only after 13 minutes of the show, I figured it's an amateur anime, why I say so?

- First of all, When you have a concept such cool and the theme this thrilling, then you gotta take your time for viewers to settle down, understand what really is going on in around the whole world of theirs. At the least, more about inputs on the main character, like had he been to some kind of institution where they teach you to fight or something? But no they had to burst into some dangerous mission without any real plan of action or with any kind of training session with Shinra, new in the team.

- Second of all, lack of emotions. C'mon people are dying in the middle of a city, not in a small number but large. If a single person turns into a fire combustion then that alone takes several other lives however citizens doesn't act like they're in the middle of such big of a massacre, in most actuality case people would be freaking out everywhere, they would have been restriction to most of the things but NO, atmosphere is perfectly normal here.

Fire force Infernal/pyrokinetic

But yes, there are a couple of good sides of anime too like what I'm actually looking forward to is, what Character development of Shinra they have to offer, yes definitely, after inspecting I was able to see that he has a big room to grow and with captain like Akitaru Obi, it won't be bad, I suppose. Furthermore, will he be controllable? having a past as such, he might just lose it anytime.. well.. for that, seems like we just have to wait.

I'm also kind of looking forward to the girls and the relationships, although that factor shouldn't be domineering, that'll spoil the anime and its theme, however, the girls such as Maki Oze, even Iris is hot enough to have an interest kek. Some more things with what I'm kind of unsettled with are outfit/dress of Fire force company, they don't look anime-ish more like realistic which at in a bigger ratio is acceptable, I just wish it doesn't hinder the quality of fighting scenes.

Does this anime have a future?

Apart from all what's happening right now. In the environment of prediction, to think that it'd acquire its place among some of the mainstream ones, such as Attack on Titan, Death note or Tokyo Ghoul there are about 40% chances for it to accomplish that level. On what reasoning I'm saying such?

- The whole world is unknown, who knows what else kind of these Exploding human variants is to be discovered, foremost who or what is controlling all this chaos.

As about making it to the legendary type of anime such as Naruto or One Piece, I don't think there is any chance in future for Fire force to be counted under this category.

Fire force Shinra and Maki

Animation and sound

Studios: David Production

The animation is fine, I have to praise them about that. Although they did quite a sloppy work when doing backgrounds and unimportant sections of animation, hopefully, they'll cover those up in later episodes. All together they did a decent job in the art section, it'll be rejoicing to watch fighting scenes in that animation.

Opening and Ending song both are fair, like every shounen anime, quite energetic. All-inclusive animation and sound section did pretty well.

Characters

Shinra is a serious and fun type, Maki is girly type with a cool personality, Iris is sister, Akitaru is sensei type, Takehisa is serious but a good teammate. The combo of a legit mates ready to save the world! I don't have much objection on the characters part, although the fact that I'm still not able to inspect all the characters in depth as not many episodes have released yet, so by far it's good.
