Dr stone Review

After 3700 years of fossilizing, out of the whole humanity two humans finally wakes up. That's right, whole humanity of this world on one normal day turned into statues for a reason no one knew, yet atleast.

Senku the brains and Taiju the power, two buddys from the days of their Highschool takes the resolve to define the cause of the malice that had happened to them and their folks. With power of science which Senku had and the physique and morality that Taiju have, they may probably can! But how? How will they survive? Is there anyone really out there? If yes then what kind are they?

FIRST IMPRESSION

I have had been waiting for an anime like this for a long time, if they don't plan to mess up the later episodes of its with complex love triangles or penTaGon shiz, then this could be the best anime of 2019, till date. Except for a few instances which didn't fit right with me, for example, although they were stones for about 3700 years but their beliefs haven't altered a bit, how can person still be same after not moving an inch for about 3700 years, c'mon their concious was always with them, they were able to process their brain this whole time. How can they still be so lively, if it was with me, then I probably would have gotten mad or something, and that's almost it. Except for this illustration I'm very much liking the theme of this anime. There are uncountable possibilities to were the story can turn, they might just die accomplishing the minimal. They might end up starting the whole civilization once again. Or they'll find and somehow circulate the recovery potion to the whole world etc etc

Although the theme of this kind is usually paired with seriousness but "Dr Stone" isn't, with a character like Taiju, this anime can never adopt that seriousness/ Gore. Which could turn into the charm or may become its drawback in future. I'd like if they give more emphasis to the theme/story evolvement and not much into characters, in character development, because if they do so then it'd dilute the actuality of the scenes and may fall into an unlikeable category.

It has already been revealed in closing song that there are other survivors and what I'm actually looking forward to is the reactions and behaviour of other people alive, upon how they're to deal with the question, "What now!?". And most importantly will they be as much energetic as these two? Would they be sustaining themselves with morality, when there's no one to contradict to whatever they do? This has now turned into a place where only rule is ones power and their mind. Let's see where the series has to lead.

SYNOPSIS (source: viz media)

However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he's got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!

ANIMATION

Yeah, animation was a bit unlikely for me, not indecent though. Especially the prologue, it felt like an old animation but, after the time skip it seems like they altered it a bit. As about character design it too is old fashioned for me, average, some may have a liking of that kind of animation, like a friend of mine, but as for me, it was just average, not more. But yes, the cut mark near the eye of every survivor looks pretty cool. And ofcourse how can I forget the onion-root hairs of Senku, honestly I was like wt* xD

RATINGS (out of 10)
